Nominate an Extraordinary Woman or Organization
for Special Recognition!

On April 11, 2012 at the Waterloo Center for the Arts, the YWCA will recognize extraordinary women and organizations from our community at our sixth annual Women of Persimmon luncheon. You may know someone whose life, talents or passions have helped shape our community, although, too often, these acts go unnoticed.

We are seeking your nomination for the following 2012 award categories:

Professional/Business Woman

Volunteer

Young Woman of Tomorrow

Youth Advocate

Business/Organization that Empower women.

Nominations must be received by Friday, February 17, 2012. Call the YWCA to receive a nomination form by mail or print the pdf here.

Blood Testing and Blood Pressure Screening

The YWCA and Allen Memorial Hospital will offer a blood test at the YWCA that covers 23 individual assessments of your blood including Blood Sugar, Triglycerides, Hear/Liver enzymes and Cholesterol. Results and an interpretation will be mailed one week after the test. Blood pressure screening will also be available during this time through Allen Hospital Golden Care Program.
