National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA) Workshops
Personal Trainer Certification
The NETA, NCCA accredited Certified Personal
Trainer Certification is designed for trainers who wish to
instruct clients individually or in small groups. Becoming NETA
certified can be an important stride in becoming recognized as a
competent fitness professional. NETA certified personal trainers
learn how to safely challenge and motivate clients to reach
their fitness goals. The curriculum and exams are continuously
updated to stay on the cutting edge of the fitness industry.

1. Attend a 2-day exam preparation workshop
and receive 14 hours of lecture, demonstrations and practical
hands-on applications.

needed to implement effective, motivational and safe

NETA
provides extensive learning and exam preparation materials to
make learning efficient, effective and enjoyable.
**Note: NETA does not require one to attend a workshop or to purchase NETA
study materials to be eligible to take the Personal Trainer
Certification exam.
All of the workshops above will be held at the YWCA. NETA charges registration fees for each workshop NETA accepts registration by mail, e-mail, fax or phone and will send confirmation letters. If you buy your book when you register, you will not be charged a shipping fee. You MUST register at least 30 days before workshop date. Pay with Visa, MasterCard, Check or Money Order. (Participants checks made payable to NETA) Video or audio taping of the workshop is not allowed.

Personal Trainers will assist with setting fitness goals and
will help you develop an effective plan to achieve those goals. The personal
trainer will show you correct and safe body techniques to help you gain the
maximum benefit from your workout.

Blood Testing & Blood Pressure Screening
The YWCA and Allen Memorial Hospital will offer a blood test at the YWCA that covers 23 individual assessments of your blood including blood sugar, triglycerides, heart/liver enzymes and cholesterol. Results and an interpretation will be mailed one week after the test. Blood pressure screning will also be available during this time through Allen Hospital Golden Care Program. Which swim class is right for your child?
The YWCA can help you place your child in the best swim class for their current level by providing American Red Cross Placement Evaluations. These testing sessions help ease children, parents, and instructors into the first day of class. Registration is required. Call the YWCA to schedule your appointment at 234-7589.
