Las Chicas

This program is for Latina girls ages 8-18 years old. This program provides a variety of recreational, educational and service activities that allows its members to get involved in the surrounding community. Las Chicas is free to participants and meets Tuesday afternoons from 4:30-6:00 p.m. Interested students and parents should contact Cyndi Ritter or Megan Barber at the YWCA for more information.

Wize Girlz
Are you in the Middle School? Are you ready for a program that allows you to be a decision-maker? Are you interested in giving back to the community? Would you like to participate in a variety of recreational activities with other girls your age? If you answered YES to these questions, Wize Girlz is for you! This program involves girls participating in a variety of service projects and recreational activities and joining together for positive learning experiences. Each Wize Girz group meets once a week during the school year. Transportation is provided.

YPT
This is a parent education and support group for individuals through age 19. Prenatal and childbirth classes as well as two parenting groups. A meal, childcare and transportation are provided. Improve your parenting skills and share experiences with other young parents. Earn points for participating that can be used to purchase items for you and your child. All groups meet on Mondays at the YWCA from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. No pre-registration is needed, but please call 231-9373 by noon on Monday if you need a ride.
 

PASS (Parents Achieving Success with Support)

A parent education and support group for individuals ages 20 to 26. Meet other young parents in similar situations, learn more about educational and employment opportunities for adults, and develop strategies for self-sufficiency and positive parenting. Earn participation "points" to purchase items in the incentive store and Stork's Nest. No preregistration required. A meal and child care are provided.

A "Dads Group" is also available.
