Volunteers -
The contributions of volunteers at the YWCA range from making cookies to making policy, from holding
babies to holding fundraising dinners. Every service that the YWCA provides is greatly enhanced by the
contribution of time, skills, and TLC from volunteers. Please let us know if you would like to help!

Special Events - help plan and carry out....

           Women of Persimmon (April)

           Young Women on the Move Conference (April)

           Annual Meeting (October)
           Fall Fundraiser (October)

       

Policy/Leadership

        Serve on the YWCA Board of Directors and Board Committees that include: Finance, Development, Personnel
          & Mission

 

Health and Wellness Services (HWS)

         Spring cleaning help for the Body Shop

          Volunteer for special events

 

Facility Upkeep

       Solicit furniture needs

          Help with indoor/outdoor projects (flower beds, room painting, carpentry)

 

Public Relations

          Assist with mailings

          Provide print design

          Develop bulletin boards/displays

          Operate video camera, digital camera

 

Youth

          Y's Kids  - Before/after school children's programs at Waterloo/Cedar Falls schools. Weekly help and one-time
          help needed.

         Summer Daze Childcare - (Planned program for K - 5th children.) Teach a special skill for one day or longer;
         sponsor a picnic for the group.

 

Food

          Volunteers are always needed to contribute or prepare cookies, snacks, or even meals for many special events
          and programs.

 

Adult Programs

          Conversation partners needed for English Class

 

Teen Programs

        Young Women on the Move Conference - plan, organize, and help
