Childcare Assistant Director
Childcare Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the Childcare Director in the operation and management of the organization’s childcare programming.
- Minimum five years’ experience in a childcare setting, supervisory experience preferred.
- Must be currently certified (or become certified within 30 days of employment) in First Aid, AED, CPR, Mandatory Reporting of Child Abuse, Blood Borne Pathogens, Hazardous Materials, as well as obtaining yearly continuing education hours as related to the school age field.
- Must successfully pass the State of Iowa criminal and child abuse records background check for childcare providers.
$38,000 per year with benefits, including paid time off, health & dental insurance, retirement, etc.

Summer Daze Group Leaders
The Summer Daze Group Leader plans, directs and supervises a safe, professional, respectful, activity-oriented, child-centered, age-appropriate summer child care program for an assigned age group of elementary school-aged children. Summer Daze is a full-day child care program operating during the summer.
- Education and experience in a field related to children and youth required. A B.A. in elementary education, recreation, education or related fields in early childhood or child development is preferred.
- Prior to first day of programming, must be certified in First Aid, AED, CPR, Mandatory reporting of child abuse, Blood Borne Pathogens, Hazardous Materials, as well as obtaining yearly continuing education hours as related to the school age field

Group Fitness Instructor
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Certified Group Fitness Instructor to lead engaging, motivating, and effective fitness classes for diverse groups of participants. In this role, you will inspire members to achieve their health and fitness goals through expertly designed workouts that emphasize safety, proper technique, and fun. - Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, body mechanics, and how they relate to exercise programming.
- Proven ability to design effective fitness programs tailored to diverse populations with varying fitness levels.
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate and inspire participants in a lively manner.
- Experience in gym or health club environments with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Effective communication skills for clear instruction and participant engagement.

Aquatics Group Fitness Instructor
Join our health and wellness team as an Aquatics Group Fitness Instructor, where your energy and expertise will inspire members to achieve their fitness goals through engaging water-based classes. In this role, you will lead group sessions in the pool, combining your passion for fitness with your knowledge of physiology, body mechanics, and diverse exercise modalities.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics to design safe and effective aquatic workouts.
- Proficiency in teaching a variety of fitness disciplines including group fitness, cycling (aquatic), Pilates, Yoga, Dancing, and sports coaching.
- Experience with program design tailored to diverse populations with varying fitness levels.
- Excellent communication skills to motivate participants and clearly demonstrate exercises.
- Ability to lead classes confidently while maintaining high energy levels throughout sessions

Lifeguard
YWCA is accepting applications from qualified and safety-oriented individuals to staff before and after school childcare programs serving school-aged children.
- Positions are part-time during the elementary school academic year
- Available positions are On-Site Supervisor ($15.50/hour) and Program Assistants ($15/hour)
- 6-30 hours per week are available, to fit your schedule
- Childcare program hours are: 6:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. and 3:25 p.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday – Friday; 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Wednesdays; and 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Fridays. Hours depend on the specific program site you are assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience required for On-Site Supervisor positions
- Must be able to pass criminal and child abuse background checks
